...and then this happened...

A tall, suave, good-looking gentleman (looks a bit like Daniel Craig, you know the type ;-) accidentally stepped into (And wasn’t she an attractive stewardess…) a significantly shorter (though no less good-looking) sandy-haired gentleman wearing a jumper which really did make every woman who saw him think, ‘Aw.’ (It was great camouflage for a man who was essentially a deadly weapon.). Startled, the two men turned to one another, each with an apology on his lips. Both apologies faded, though, as recognition dawned. The suave gentleman smiled suavely and the jumper-clad gentleman grinned in an adorable manner.

I have no idea if this belongs in my story but I am seriously cracking myself up over it. So, thank you, [livejournal.com profile] kizzia, for suggesting Captain Watson and Bond are old army buddies.

Perfect! Bond is pretty hard to rattle- this is post-Casino Royale, I'm guessing. He can have a total ball winding Sherlock up while John is oblivious- or appears to be.

Damn. John was picking up Sherlock (whose plane was delayed) and I'm not sure he's in this fic. I'm just circling around the beginning, but the challenge is 'three fandoms walk into a bar' so I need at least three of those and my brain is telling me I need to minimize the number of characters to make it workable - still - I have no idea what actually happens in this story at this point so anything is possible. In fact, Sherlock and Bond keeping each other occupied is possibly an attractive option...otherwise I have to give Bond something else to do...

This is also quite likely to be short and cracky. I'm still trying to focus on finishing the actual story I have to finish before life can move on. :-) Also known as 'write the actual prompt of J&S performing the parts of B&B darn it!'

As always, thanks for channeling the thinky thoughts! This mash-up of fandoms is challenging. Bond is post CR but I think I need to rewatch and get a better feel for Craig's Bond. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with his dialogue because I couldn't decide how he would address John - Watson? John Watson? I'm at a complete loss and that made me feel wrong-footed right off the bat.

He'd probably start with "John Watson" and then move to Watson- it's that British public school thing. Or Johnny if he wants to yank Sherlock's chain. :)

For a third, Victoria Winslow from RED would be perfect- the boys would respect her, Sherlock would be terrified of her!

Fabulous!

Now I can't quite wrap my head around anyone calling Bond, "James Bond". ... and my brain just this very second decided that John absolutely has to greet him thus: "Bond! James Bond, fancy meeting you here."

I do not understand how typing things actually makes stuff happen inside my head, but it does. It is ridiculous.

Still, the notion of anyone casually referring to 'oh yes, that chap over there, James Bond' makes me giggle.

Is the Victoria in your head from the movie or the comic?
