I need a Chicago icon of some kind
I am seriously considering never leaving the house again without my camera; because you just never know when someone is going to put up a sign that, if you tell anyone you saw it, no one is going to believe you.

Isn't this cool? Though my zoom reveals a level of neglect I missed in person.

So yesterday it officially became Too Hot to be in Chicago, but that does mean all the roses are budding and blooming.

Some are doing it very picturesquely in the vicinity of wrought iron.

Someone had fun yesterday...

So I walked on, and took some pics of this flower...

...but just a few blocks later turned and backtracked. A block or two later I came upon what must have been the scene of a drive-by-flowering in the 5-10 minutes since I'd walked past this spot the first time.

So random.

I stopped at Jewel on the way home and apparently the spice aisle has become exciting!

Sherlock Fic is impending.

The best we can figure is there's a hunting show out there somewhere or something, and you're supposed to season your game with this stuff? Or maybe they're implying if you use their spice your Jewel-bought meat will taste like freshly killed game? I don't even know, but it's the first time I've ever been tempted to take a picture while shopping for food.
I'm really surprised at the number of randomly strange things I can run across in a few hours. I kind of wanted to buy a hat, or at least get a pic for reference, but they were closed. :-(
