I need a Chicago icon of some kind

I am seriously considering never leaving the house again without my camera; because you just never know when someone is going to put up a sign that, if you tell anyone you saw it, no one is going to believe you.

Isn't this cool? Though my zoom reveals a level of neglect I missed in person.

So yesterday it officially became Too Hot to be in Chicago, but that does mean all the roses are budding and blooming.

Photobucket

Some are doing it very picturesquely in the vicinity of wrought iron.

Someone had fun yesterday...

So I walked on, and took some pics of this flower...

...but just a few blocks later turned and backtracked. A block or two later I came upon what must have been the scene of a drive-by-flowering in the 5-10 minutes since I'd walked past this spot the first time.

So random.

I stopped at Jewel on the way home and apparently the spice aisle has become exciting!

Sherlock Fic is impending.

I really enjoyed your pictures. Interesting and/or pretty! (I think you can figure out which ones I think were which. :-) )

The Bone Collector this is from this guy's show/blog/etc. http://www.michaelwaddell.com/tv

You have a camera on your phone for immediate things like that, right?

Thanks!

Oh, this just gets funnier!

A hunter is more than a predator, a hunter is a provider…a caretaker…a leader. I will never make excuses for who I am… It’s the way I was born… I’m a hunter… A BONE COLLECTOR!!!”

Seriously dude? How does this translate to Thunder Chicken spice blend? Are you going to BONE COLLECT me a chicken so I can season it and throw it on the barbie?

I love this, I may actually have to watch an episode.

Well, technically, there is a camera on my phone. I've never used it. My phone basically has a 50% chance at all times of having a dead battery because I'm chronically unable to remember to plug it in. My camera is a new toy so I'm still a good steward and have a backup battery with me most of the time.
