Thanks, this was an odd one with pacing since I had to do it based upon some gnarly dates I ended up setting for myself. It did end up feeling like a very uncertain push/pull sort of story, which seems just right.
Yes, you're absolutely right, I'm pretty sure anyone can walk into a hospital and casually set up camp if they do it the right way. Unfortunately, if I write it that way I'm going to get all sorts of people telling me why Sherlock wouldn't have been able to do that. Sigh. He's tired, covered in John's blood, and not taking any chances. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :-)
