I did find some excellent-looking places, especially one that's really on top of all their food-allergy preparations, so I'll be able to take my Really Food Allergic Friend. And, of course, the Cafe du Monde!

He's tired, covered in John's blood, and not taking any chances.

That's exactly what I like about this story. Pre-Fall Sherlock wouldn't have done that. He'd have found a way to weasel, sneak, or sweet-talk his way into John's room. But he's changed, and he just doesn't have it in him to do anything but make sure that he's supposed to be where he wants to be. It's those little things that tell you so much about what's gone on with him.

I hope the delays at O'Hare don't end up affecting you adversely.

They won't. Because I am flying out of Midway! (Just the one easy bus ride there, straight shot down 55th St., as opposed to the bus-and-long-ass-train-ride deal to get me to O'Hare.)
