I'm pleased I moved you with this. It still feels a bit 'dashed off' to me in places, but I needed to get something off of my plate and this ended up writing itself the most quickly.
The marriage I threw in for laughs, but also because in my head in the hospital scenario Sherlock simply doesn't fail to get in to see John. I'm always a little mystified by the stories which pull in Harry for this purpose, because if anyone could talk his way into a hospital room where he wasn't technically allowed - it's Sherlock.
