I quite like worried!Sherlock. He's excellent at pointing out facts and behaviour in other people, not so good at working out what his own behaviour should be. He's rubbish at thanking people, after all. And he's a problem-solver, so of course he'd focus on how to FIX it rather than how to FEEL it. So the feelings would boil away underneath, propelling his usual frustrations when he can't FIX or SOLVE the way he's used to. It's certainly a very plausible interpretation of his response to John's illness, and to the comment about the fridge, because he's not actually followed that particular train of thought. If he'd worked out those intervening steps he'd have been fine. I suppose in a way this is a taste of what his pronouncements feel like to everyone else!
Lestrade is just lovely, the way he deals with it too, and it's always good to see more of Lestrade. He's much lovelier in the series than he is in the books, where he is described as both dapper and rat-like.
