That is a very good tip, especially for home use where computery things are less easily replaced. I was just pleased that I didn't have to open an IT ticket - but then the chief IT guy happened to come by while I was crawling around on the floor and under and about my desk futzing with wires - still, unofficial contact with IT is very definitely preferred to official.
