You're very welcome, I like being all muse-y and such.
What I did think was interesting was the tone of the lines John and Sherlock were running. Because, after all, they were about Benedick and Beatrice professing their love for each other. I'm fairly sure that you're not going to take the story in a slashy direction - but oh, how this chapter could go there so easily. (I kind of feel like the characters were almost pulling you in that direction, and you were trying to reign them in. I know I had two original characters like that once. Annoying, persistent berks, they were, too.)
Which makes me also wonder...are Sherlock and John ever actually going to talk about the fact that they're playing lovers against each other. I mean - Benedick and Beatrice kiss in the run of the play. I doubt John and Sherlock are going to be allowed to cop out with a handshake. And granted, they're men, and testosterone doesn't actually let men discuss anything emotional, but I have to think that this is going to come up in conversation at least once. Even if it's properly dismissed and Never Spoken Of Again.
