One of the things I love about living here is that this is right down the street from where I live. Our city is wonderful and diverse and I love it. Happy belated Birthday, Buddah!



I am now officially on the lookout for shrines - everywhere I go.



I hit the Lincoln Park Conservatory.

And then I ran across the Farmers' Market that I knew was around somewhere but which I hadn't been to before.

















I know what it actually means, but I'm enjoying the visual of someone petting his pet patch of grass.

After I'd almost passed them by completely, it turned out that it was impossible to take a bad picture of the flamingos. The zoom on my camera is an amazing thing.

All kitties should have pet grass. Even the zoo kitties get super-sized patches!

I wish our new lion had been out to play. Sigh. I'm still waiting for a glimpse of him in person.
