I think Sherlock would take extreme exception to the fact that you've included his name and that forum thread in the same post. I was thinking more along the lines of a baking soda volcano - but something Sherlock would think was useful. He relates to kids just fine as long as he doesn't have to tell them any falsehoods - you don't go to heaven your body goes to a special room and gets incinerated.
I like this. I might have to go with something more recognizable - Ancient Egypt or Rome, but this is still gelling. One of the last glimpses of Baker Street will be a costume fitting and I'm not sure yet how that's going to look.
Very good. He's going to be more useful outside the play - possibly as the victim of an assassination attempt, poor chap - but a strong supporting role suits him.
I'm having the worst time finding the rest of his books. That's why I was canvasing bookstores yesterday. I hit two B&Ns along with three or four UBSs with no luck. Two stores had The Thirty-Nine Steps and I'm almost done with that, but no one has the collection. I'm going to end up paying for shipping on this, and that's supremely annoying...
