I have decided I use smileys far too often. Expect fewer. ;-)

...

Blast.

OK - it's not Sherlock shopping, but I'm taking what I can get at this point. There's a lot still to write, and if I can 'spot write' while I'm supposed to be busy with other stuff, it's all still getting words onto the screen, right?

*****

“You are absolutely not allowed to die on me, Sherlock. I refuse to play Benedick opposite anyone else.”

...

John’s mind wouldn’t stop suggesting things he needed to start carrying around with him in case they were going to start finding themselves in this sort of situation more regularly: duct tape, an extra shirt, his actual medical bag, a compass, a lighter, a pint or two of AB negative, a backup phone for when his and Sherlock’s had been confiscated by the thugs and smashed to pieces – John looked up, because he had just felt – fuck, he thought; yeah, he had just felt a drop – an umbrella (alternately Mycroft), two pairs of wellies, and (because, what the hell, how about an) x-ray machine. At that point he made himself stop thinking along that line and concentrated on scanning the distance for any sort of structure while he still had a little bit of light to work with.

*****

Edited to add - I'm yoinking this rec from [livejournal.com profile] killerweasel because, though I haven't been keeping up with Dr Who, this is utterly brilliant.

PoI spoilery reaction post also posted to the new discussion post over on the PoI comm.

Oh Fusco - I don't think a phrase book is going to help you with the puppy...

Her apples never go brown? Being evil really is advantageous.

Jinkies - I hope it's Harold who makes it out too! (I think I might be secretly evil...)

I'm sorry - I'm about to go all capslock - sorry, so sorry.

OMG OREGON TRAIL - SHE'S PLAYING OREGON TRAIL - I AM TOTALLY THIS GIRL AND SECRETLY EVIL - I have a lot of reading to do to prepare for my new evil-ness.

Hm. Oregon Trail again. I think the computer program which I feel really nostalgic about has just become a very important part of this show...weird.
