I'm really confused about the use of buckshot for the purpose of shooting food for exactly this reason. I guess it makes it easier to take the birds down? A spray gives you more of a chance than trying to attempt a kill shot on a moving target? But I was imagining it would be annoying to eat something you've peppered with bits of metal, and you've just confirmed that. I'm going to chalk this one up to - I'm not a camping/hunting/eating game sort of person. It all just confuses me.
I think I'll give Simon a bit of a break and have him just catch a bit of the spray. I really only need him to jump around and be entertaining for a little while, and it's even funnier if John's all - dude, this is barely a scratch.
