Sorting Lestrade

One of our recent snippets revealed that Greg is going to make an appearance during the Much Ado holiday section. Please weigh in on how you’d like to see our beloved DI sorted romantically. Please also note that I’m not sure how much actual ‘screen time’ the romance will get, it may very well be quite minimal. The John and Sherlock Show tends to end up dominating my stories pretty thoroughly.[Poll #1851988]

Tho if not me then Molly. Or a Holmesian cousin that horrifies the rest of the family (he's a POLICEMAN!) and Sherlock thinks is a perfectly compatible option.

The statistical analysis so far shows it's 50/50. Two think its boring, two think it's not, and frankly my vote for me to have a fling with DI Hot is pure self indulgence, so it's kind of two votes for Molly there. :)

though right now I'm amused by the idea of Not!Anthea being all "Mmmmmm, hot copper" and Greg being all "Um. Thank you. But you scare me. Maybe even more than your boss scares me." And Mycroft giving Greg the 'hurt her and I'll break you' talk, and Greg being all "but we don't even KNOW each other and she makes me NERVOUS'. And John being all "Hmph. She wouldn't even put down her Blackberry for *me*.'

Well, while that is a fic in itself, it has no place in my fic where Not!Anthea is Diana Rigg and is cuddling in Mycroft's lap. Sorry, you'll have to write that one...passes the ball

Actually - do write it - I've just read it again and I love it EVEN MORE the second time. Even if it's a throwaway - it's completely priceless...Greg protesting vehemently and John all offended while Mycroft glares at everyone - priceless.

I will keep it in mind. I wonder if I can squeeze it into the Gladstone's universe, in which Greg will also be "But, I'm WITH SOMEONE" and Molly BAMFs her ass to tell Not!Anthea "HANDS OFF MY FELLA!" But I will look for an opportunity to use it, because the image of the look of dismay on Greg's face, and huffiness on John's, makes me laugh.

OMG! the thought of Mycroft and Not Anthea descending upon the Gladstone's Collar 'verse is completely awesome. Because Molly is totally justified in being all 'um, excuse me?'

oh, sorry, I'm totally spouting off here without having read your latest installment - I'm saving for when you'll have shifted focus...

so I've no idea, but I still think it could fit in somewhere!

I think so too. Not sure it'll get into the next fic, but it might. I was thinking of having more of a series of scenes. I think it would be incredibly funny having NotAnthea pop up to collect the boss and be giving Lestrade the glad eye while Molly gets all up in her face with "I work with dead bodies. I work with SHERLOCK HOLMES. YOU DO NOT SCARE ME, LADY!!!"

And Lestrade being secretly pleased that his Molly is BAMFing all over a very surprised Anthea.

ANd John just keeps on sulking.
