Thanks, it's my first and probably only unfortunately. Fic is hard - you have to be true to the characters and I'm usually not up to it. In fact, I'm not sure I achieved it here. But this story demanded to be written, so I complied. When I realized how many hours it had taken I wanted to post it and - honestly - see if I can figure out where the heck it came from. I'm kind of indifferent to the pair on the show and I'm absolutely amazed at the work which is being produced from twenty-something minutes of canon, so I'm re-reading some Beauty and the Beast and trying to use my journal to explore/discuss why writers keep coming back to this tale and putting their mark on it.
