In which Lincoln Park is atmospheric.

I ran across some really gorgeous architectural details today as well as a few things which just struck me as groovy...I think I'd like to live in Lincoln Park if it weren't full of annoying people and a lack of parking options...it's also ridiculously expensive.

This was my absolutely favorite find of the day.

Oh, and if anyone is in need of a puppet bike, now you know where to get one.

Yes, that is a miniature disco ball that you see.

Also - psssst - look out, Chicago! I am armed with both a love of Cabin Pressure and citrus fruits...three guesses what I'm doing tomorrow...

I love wrought iron. Don't ask me why.

I'm addicted to taking pictures of it. I really need to start tagging my pictures. My wrought iron tag would be epic.

Across the street from us one of the houses has a red wrought iron fence out front. It is one of my favorite things in the world. *swoons*

Picture? *looks hopeful*

It's a charming little short fence, which is why I don't think I've pictured it before, just admired it. I will see what can be done, though, definitely.

The grinning lion door knocker is awesome.

Next time you're down by me, come early enough to see the Faces Building in the daylight.

Yes, we must get together soon. This week was a total loss for me. I'm just hoping a couple of friends in from out of town and a citrusy excursion tomorrow can help balance it out.

Actually, I finally ran across a physical copy of the walking tours of Chicago which I've been wanting. It's a bit out of date - Meigs Field still being in it - but there are a couple by you if you'd be interested in coming along for something like that. Daylight would be helpful there as well...

I love that grey stone archway! So pretty. And the puppetbike website is quite amusing. (I HAD to visit.)

Let's see...what are you doing tomorrow? *thinks* Lemon pie and margaritas! Did I get it right? :)

Oh my gosh! I hadn't actually thought to go see what it looked like...but it's awesome! I'm now remembering putting on a puppet show with my best friend with a quite varied collection of stuffed animals. We first recorded a tape of ourselves voicing the characters then did lip synching puppets later...such dorks, but we must've been pretty adorable at the time. *g*

You definitely ignited a desire to make lemon squares...yum!
