I think Mycroft should send Sherlock the footage either for his birthday or save it up for a day when Mycroft thinks Sherlock is failing to properly appreciate John's qualities, and sends it as a reminder of just how awesomely awesome SHerlocks brother-in-all-but-blood really is.
I've already gone and waxed lyrical about the last part. And now I'm all squeeful looking forward to Sherlock doing the shopping!!
