Hmm. Next time I go home, I'm going upstairs to do an attic trawl. Attics are awesome, especially when you've got such a large, wealthy family over so much time. And I like the implication that someone does keep at least some kind of order in the attic. Everything there is there for a reason, carefully (if weirdly) stored away, and wanted. Which includes Ickle Sherlock's Sonata. He may not get much love from his parents, but someone is clearly watching out for him.
Is going to be much fun when someone discovers the battered body of Hannibal Holmes. Someone'll definitely have some 'splaining to do. I suspect that a lot of family resentments might make their way into the open, and Hannibal and Viola might suddenly realize that they have far fewer allies than they probably think they do. Especially since Sherlock and John seem so beloved by all.
Dissection is awesome. I only ever got to do it on a sheep's eyeball (school budget cuts), but I thought it was really cool. That's the thing about kids. They'll surprise you in taking really gross things totally in stride, because gross things are awesome.
