I adore Mycroft and Not Anthea together, and how hard he thinks about her gifts. Too hard. Mycroft being romantic is hilarious and adorable.

And you know, Grandmere is a woman of the world. She may feel that there were other things she could have done to make her son a different man, but also recognise that as an adult he made easy, lazy choices to be a lazy brutal man. I imagine she's as disgusted with him as she is sorry she didn't manage to influence him to be a better man. Maybe that's part of her fondness for her difficutl grandsons. They are flawed, but they don't seem to be making lazy, easy choices. Well, not any more.
