I write in scrivener and that has a pretty good word count function that is as accurate as counting the damn things by hand. Then I check it when I post on AO3 as that also has a very good counter (which doesn't count ... as a word, unlike Word) Oh and yay for a PM when it's posted. I shall keep checking :)
