Yes! And it is scary. Fanfic has its own special fears for me, perhaps because the characters already have a life of their own and that leaves me with even less control.
Sherlock! I love the case fic. The show in general and their relationship in particular is so brilliantly written and acted; like most fandoms this one is dominated by slash, and I can understand completely with this bromance. The creators seem to give winks and nods to fandom in every episode.
