The dance lesson chapter begins in chaos. That works, but I have to corral it all in for the actual lesson. I don't, however, have enough room in the flat for said lesson.
So what do we think? Dance lesson at Bart's? The morgue is tempting but the acoustics would be pants and I'm not sure the work tables would be movable. The briefing room of New Scotland Yard? Other ideas are very welcome.
I've also realized I have enough characters involved that John can be spared the role of 'not exactly clueless but very definitely insecure student' in this installment. He won't be miraculously fantastic, but he can have some skillz and natural talent in this area.

Date: 2013-02-03 10:26 pm (UTC)Also . . . forgot to mention this last night: If you go whole hog and make the Holmes clan Scottish dancers, you can put everyone into the Full Dancing Kit. Women, that's generally a long, simple ballgown, often white, to show off the (family, if they've got one; Black Watch or Royal Stewart if they don't) tartan sash. Men get to wear a kilt, with belt and sporran, long socks with flashes at the knees, a little dagger in one sock, a dress shirt, and a Bonnie Prince Charlie jacket. Everyone wears dance ghillies. Picture Sherlock in this getup. Google Image it if you have to. Then decide what sort of dancing they should do.

Date: 2013-02-04 09:57 am (UTC)If it's for everyone, though - wouldn't it make more sense to have a weekend at the house to gather everyone together? Especially if they're all scattered across Britain, they'd need somewhere central to go.
