There are lemons in play in London! Squee to the extreme! London!

It's been a while since I did a picture post, so for those of you who enjoy those, here's a bit of a teaser. Yesterday we went out hiking, and while I cannot give Starved Rock State Park a glowing review, I did get some good pics. This morning, however - butterflies!

ETA - whoops.  I guess you're getting butterlies instead.  Enjoy them anyway!

I like this one because you can see his spirally feeding - um - feeding tube - proboscis, I learn through a quick google search.

And then this guy showed up. He played hard to get, flitting away and coming back again a couple of times.

But the first one stayed reliable, ready for his close up now.

OK - so if you enjoyed that, I need your help on a couple of things.  1.  The reason I resized these when I normally don't is because I'm having trouble inserting my photobucket images in the HTML.  Is anyone else having issues?  Has something changed?  Yes, I am technologically challenged in the extreme.  2.  Does the size of my normal photos fuss you?  Do you have to scroll obnoxiously to the side when you are reading through my picture posts?

Well, yes, I would say you're fairly good at posting pictures - you know - fair to middling... ;-)

ETA - ugh. And of course today it seems to be working, at least with the four pics I just tested. Well, at least I tested it before wasting your time. This is my problem with IT sorts of things, and I'm convinced that half the time it's user error on my part, and the other half my computer really is doing something truly bizarre but will never repeat it for an audience.

Yesterday, at least, it seemed to give me every other pic and a broken link symbol for the others. Truly weird. If I run into it again I'll try to document it as best I can and ask you. Thanks so much for the offer to help!

Oh, sizing. This is a complete mystery to me. If you could offer a very basic tutorial, that would be excellent. I feel a bit as if I'm spamming people with the rather large images, even under a cut, but photobucket doesn't seem to offer a convenient way to resize large groups of pictures.

Well, if it does it again, send me the code and I'll probably be able to tell you what is going on.

As for resizing, photobucket is terrible at it so I never resize there. I either resize in photoshop while I'm prepping the pictures (cropping, coloring, etc.), or I'll do what you did here and add a width=x to the html. You may be able to add in my custom css code and have it work though. Go into customize your journal theme and click on custom css tab and put in this with the px that fits your style:

.entry img {max-width: 750px; overflow: hidden;}
.commentbox img {max-width: 750px; overflow: hidden;}

Just put it in the Custom stylesheet, save and see if things have resized.
