At least, you are when it's Fringe.  Lovely, lovely Fringe which has given me a wonderful Beauty and the Beast nod to link my current obsessions.

The show has given me a lot more than that in the most recent ep, finally confirming that Amber-verse is still Blue-verse and Olivia is back in her ponytail and choosing Peter.  In fact; she's chosen not only Peter but to 'revert' to a 'better' version of herself.  I'm wondering where we stand with Rachel and Ella here, we haven't seen them at all this season and that disappoints me greatly.  They're only showing us Olivia being close to Nina and how this change will affect their relationship, but what about the rest of Olivia's family?

I loved that Olivia had her hair down in the beginning of the hour - I loved the white tulips on the table as she breakfasted with Nina, one of my all-time favorite eps because the protagonist wins - but the ponytail is back soon after and stays for the duration.  This made me want to rewatch the season, or at least the more recent eps to see if they've been gradually tweaking her wardrobe back toward blue-verse.

They gave me Peter being awesome, and I loved when he grabs a chip while he's contemplating the device he's trying to activate - so Walter.  Walter and Peter's scene together made me want to cry - but what's with John Noble's voice in this ep?

Sad Lincoln made me sad too, but it was never going to happen, dear; unless of course Peter really had departed for a different time line.

Another thing I loved was the wife and husband corpses' hands touching

Fringe makes me happy.

Corpse hands touching is touching, and maybe that's a little disturbing(?) It's comforting to know someone shares my twitches. And tulips! And happy!Olivia and her ponytail - I hope this does not foreshadow more angst and romantic setbacks for a least another couple of episodes.

Fringe makes me happier than pretty much anything since the X-Files, and Buffy, with the exception of OUAT; BBC's Being Human is in there somewhere too, although I'm still mourning the original cast.

It would be disturbing if it weren't 'a short story about love'. I really enjoyed that the title was so apt. The episode was so completely about love! And of course it was a short story because they only have forty-something minutes to tell it. When you're telling a short story and you're telling it within any Fringe-verse corpses touching hands is bound to be a romantic touch!
