I saw these umbrellas when I bought my new lamp and I immediately thought, 'Oh look, it's Mycroft Umbrella and Mrs Mycroft Umbrella.'. So of course I had to buy them, and today I brought home their new home within my home. Meet the Holmeses.







I think they're quite lovely. :-)

Also adoring the umbrella stand. And it's in good hands with you; people can see it. My umbrella stand is buried beneath shopping bags that are drying, waiting to go back to the car, etc. If you dig down far enough there are umbrellas, perhaps a cane, and an odd something-or-other that came with the house and doesn't have a readily apparent purpose.

Well, so far people can still see it. We'll see how long that lasts. :-)

I am now inordinately curious about 'the thing that came with the house'. There is a story there I think.
